Health education involves imparting the learner with knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that help him or her develop appropriate psychosocial responses relevant to the improvement of their general health status. The areas of emphasis include: Common Communicable and Non-Communicable diseases, drug and substance Use, Gender issues related to health, Healthy hygienic practices and Citizenship for a healthy nation.
Health Education is one of the Pertinent and Contemporary issues being mainstreamed in the various learning areas and subjects under the Competency Based Curriculum.
